A Sense of responsibility (part one) By Ps D.K Malubane

Greetings in the wonderful name of JESUS. What a wonderful moment to live and be part of this empowered and more to do generation, but the trap of being irresponsible seems to be knocking at the door post of our generation but we are goimg to knock that demon right on its head. Its time for young people to take charge over what the LORD has left under their trust. God trusted you with something great and lets just go through some of it.

When we read in the book of PHILIPIANS chapter two VERSE twelve, we find the Apostle Paul talking to the Philippians (Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, WORK OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure: KJV)

Looking closely at this we see the apostle interest to the Philippians church, at first exalt them and he reminds them of their good habit of being obedient while he was around and even when he was away. But he does not end there; he takes it a step further by calling them into responsibility. First he said this obedient should be done much more in his absence, looking at the scripture it is a two way fold: exaltation and emphasis to stick to what you have already started even if there is no one taking care of you or tapping your back to remind you.

Moreover he said work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. This is not the kind of fear that requires you to be scared, no, what it mean is that you should work out you salvation with reverence and humbleness of heart. He continues to say and trembling which also differs from that one of shaking and giggling because something terrible happened but it has to do with you honoring and have an attitude of gratitude towards the whole process of getting out what is already in you.

Watch, the bible does not say try to find out how to make things work so that you can be happy with your God, no, it say work out you own ( take ownership of what God has given you) salvation. This mean the salvation is there but it has to show up because for now it is still hidden on the inside of you, but….. the good news is that it has been granted to you and me to show forth what we have on the inside of us. So fellows we do have something that the world can be happy for, this thing can make your world a better place, a peacefull and prosperous place to be. So I am calling you to a sense of responsibility for the things that God has deposited on the inside of you.

No wonder the LORD Jesus said all authority and power are given unto me Mark 18, this is what made him to go around doing good because he knew that he had something of value that can change people’s life. So look on the inside of you, see what the LORD count it on you. You may not know it by now but is there, check up, check up until yousee something. Come on what I am saying is true because verse 13 continue to say for it is the LORD which worketh in you both to will and to do acoording to his good plesuere, which mean the LORD is already doing his part which I believe is bearing fruit in your life, somehow even if you are not sure of what is going on around you but when God’s hand is taking over you can tell something is happening with me although I may not understand it but it is worthy leaving for.

So GOD has provided you with his will, which mean he has displayed to you his way of doing things, Oh man, the GOD of heaven and earth is saying to you this is the way I do things moreover the bible says to will and…………..and to DO DO DO DO according to his good pleasure. God is not just interested in us knowing his way but he is looking forward to see us participating and applying his way (to do) so that we can experience his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20 say God can do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think according to his power that worketh within us. This is what energized apostle PAUL to say I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

You are responsible for the things that God has deposited to you and my prayer for you is may you be able to see what is that the LORD’s will is for your life and do as it pleases him. I can assure you whatever pleases God will please you.

Be responsible for the things God has given you.

God bless youB
